Everyday activities such as gardening, car repair, and painting generate materials that have the potential to threaten our water supply. A business also poses a risk due to specific materials that may be used or manufactured on site.

However, being a well informed business owner reduces the risk your company poses to the water supply and protects your business. The following information is designed to help you evaluate existing and potential risks and give you some tools and resources to reduce them.

At the end of the information section is a quiz designed to evaluate the readers knowledge and understanding of the information presented. It was designed with the employees of local government and business in mind. We encourage you to incorporate this quiz into the training you provide for all of your employees.

The quiz is fifteen questions. Upon successful completion a certificate is presented for printing with the person’s name and the date. All of the answers must be correct in order for the certificate to print. If an incorrect answer is given the person may then go back and try another answer. This is a great training tool that can be done easily and at no cost to the employer.

This website is sponsored by local communities and their Wellhead Protection Teams who are active in identifying opportunities to protect the water supply. To learn more about water protection efforts in your community please go to the Local Government section of this website.
